Microneedling: Collagen Induction Therapy
Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
For our traditional microneedling treatment, we incorporate the Dp Dermaceuticals MG-Collection, distributed through Clarion Medical Canada. These are professional grade specialized serums designed for microneedling treatments. The practitioner selects the formulation according the each patient's skin condition and treatment goals.
Microneedling can also be combined with various other topical cocktails, like Purasomes, Microtox, vitamin-rich serums like VAMP Advanced, and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma).

Before Your Treatment
Your experience begins with a professional skin assessment to determine the most appropriate treatment approach. A topical numbing cream is applied to enhance comfort throughout the procedure.
During Your Treatment
Using a specialized microneedling device, tiny, controlled microchannels are created in the skin to stimulate its natural healing response and encourage collagen and elastin production.
Depending on your skin’s needs, the practitioner may recommend enhancing the treatment with other specialized formulations such as VAMP Advanced, Purasomes, or Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).
Most treatments take approximately 45–60 minutes, including preparation, although treatment times may vary, particularly with PRP given the additional time needed to perform a venipuncture and PRP preparation.
Immediately After Treatment
Your skin may appear pink or red, similar to a mild sunburn, and feel warm, tight, or sensitive. Mild swelling and pinpoint bleeding may also occur. These effects are generally temporary and typically improve within 24–72 hours, although some individuals experience redness, dryness, or sensitivity for several days.
The Days Following Your Treatment
As your skin begins its natural renewal process, you may notice mild dryness, tightness, or flaking. Gentle skincare, hydration, and diligent sun protection are essential during recovery. You will receive personalized aftercare instructions to support optimal healing.
When Will You See Results?
Many patients notice improvements in skin smoothness and radiance as their skin recovers. However, collagen remodeling is a gradual process, with improvements in texture, fine lines, and skin firmness developing over several weeks to months.
For optimal results, a series of treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart may be recommended, depending on your skin concerns and treatment goals.
