Calm. Clarify. Rejuvenate. Healthier looking skin without surgery.
DermaV is a powerful vascular and pigment laser from Cynosure designed to improve the appearance of facial redness, visible blood vessels, uneven skin tone and other signs of sun-related skin damage.
Using two complementary wavelengths—532 nm and 1064 nm—DermaV can be customized to target concerns at different depths within the skin. Its advanced cooling and energy-delivery systems help protect the skin’s surface while allowing your provider to treat visible vessels, redness and pigmentation with precision.
At Lips N Lines Plus Medical Esthetics, DermaV treatments are personalized to your skin type, concerns and goals. Our approach is not about erasing every mark or changing your natural appearance. It is about helping your skin look clearer, calmer, more even and healthier.
DermaV is a medical laser system designed to treat vascular and pigment-related skin concerns.
It uses two wavelengths:
● 532 nm, which is particularly useful for more superficial redness, small visible vessels and selected pigment concerns
● 1064 nm, which can reach deeper tissue and is commonly used for deeper vascular concerns and selected skin conditions
The laser energy is absorbed by targeted blood vessels or pigment. This creates a controlled treatment response while leaving the surrounding skin largely unaffected.
DermaV also includes integrated cooling technology to help protect the skin’s surface and improve treatment comfort.
DermaV may be recommended for patients concerned about:
● Facial redness
● Rosacea-related redness
● Broken capillaries
● Spider veins and small visible vessels
● Redness around the nose
● Red acne marks
● Sun spots and selected brown spots
● Uneven skin tone
● Generalized flushing
● Skin that appears dull, blotchy or uneven
● Certain vascular lesions
DermaV is primarily a vascular and pigment-focused laser. It is not intended to replace treatments designed specifically for significant skin laxity, deep wrinkles or substantial textural resurfacing.
DermaV delivers carefully controlled pulses of laser energy into the skin.
When the selected wavelength is absorbed by blood vessels, the energy creates heat within the vessel. The body then gradually clears the treated vessel, reducing its visibility over time.
When the laser is used for selected pigment concerns, the energy is absorbed by pigment within the skin. The treated pigment may darken temporarily, flake or gradually fade as the body processes it.
The treatment parameters are adjusted according to:
● The concern being treated
● The depth and size of the vessel or pigment
● Your skin tone
● The treatment area
● Your history of redness, pigmentation or sensitivity
● Your desired outcome
Because vascular and pigment concerns are not all the same, the correct wavelength, energy level and treatment approach matter.
Two Wavelengths in One System
DermaV combines 532 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths, giving your provider flexibility to treat different types of redness, vessels and pigment at varying depths.
Designed for Vascular Concerns
DermaV is particularly well suited to visible blood vessels, facial redness and vascular lesions. Its purpose is not simply to heat the skin—it is designed to target specific vascular structures.
Selective Treatment
Laser energy is directed toward the intended target while minimizing unnecessary exposure to the surrounding skin.
Integrated Cooling
DermaV incorporates cooling technology to help protect the skin’s surface and improve comfort during treatment.
Customizable for Your Skin
Treatment settings can be adjusted based on your skin tone, the area being treated and the type of vascular or pigment concern present.
DermaV and InMode’s Lumecca IPL can both improve redness, visible vessels and uneven pigmentation, but they use different forms of light.
DermaV is a dual-wavelength medical laser. It delivers precise, targeted energy directly to individual blood vessels and pigment cells. It is highly effective for well-defined or stubborn broken capillaries, spider veins, cherry angiomas, targeted vascular redness from rosacea, and specific pigmented lesions. It offers safer versatility across a wider range of skin tones—including darker skin—due to precise wavelength adjustments and longer 1064nm capabilities that bypass surface melanin safely. It delivers high precision with integrated cooling technology, though recovery for deeper vascular work can involve slight swelling or a few days of minor downtime depending on the intensity.
Lumecca is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. It delivers a broad spectrum that disperses high-energy light across a wider surface area. It targets generalized pigment and diffuse background redness. It is excellent for broad sun damage, age spots, freckles, general facial flushing, and overall diffuse skin clarity. It is best suited for lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III). It carries a higher risk of adverse reactions or hyperpigmentation on deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) because epidermal melanin competes with the target. IPL treatments typically require 1 to 3 sessions for noticeable results with very mild, short-lived warmth or darkening of spots.
In general:
DermaV may be especially useful when:
● Visible blood vessels are a primary concern
● Redness is localized or persistent
● The treatment requires a specific vascular wavelength
● Your provider wants to target vessels at different depths
● Precision is more important than treating a broad area at once
Lumecca IPL may be especially useful when:
● Sun damage is spread across a larger area
● Brown spots and overall uneven tone are the primary concerns
● You want broad photorejuvenation
● Redness and pigment are present together across the face, neck, chest or hands
There can be overlap between the two treatments, and some patients may be candidates for either. The best choice depends on whether your primary concern is vascular, pigment-related or a combination of both.
You don’t need to decide which technology you need—that’s our job.
WHAT DOES A DERMAV TREATMENT FEEL LIKE?
During treatment, you may feel a brief snapping, warming or stinging sensation as the laser pulses are delivered.
The integrated cooling system helps protect the skin’s surface and improve comfort.
Immediately afterward, you may notice:
● Temporary redness
● Mild swelling
● A warm or sunburn-like sensation
● Darkening of treated pigment
● Small areas of swelling around treated vessels
These effects vary depending on the treatment area, the concern being treated and the settings used.
Your provider will give you detailed aftercare instructions and let you know what to expect during the healing process.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Some patients notice a reduction in redness or the appearance of visible vessels after one treatment. Pigment concerns may also begin to look lighter as treated areas heal.
Results often continue to develop over the following weeks as the body clears treated vessels and pigment.
The number of treatments needed depends on:
● The type and extent of redness or pigmentation
● The size and depth of visible vessels
● Your skin tone
● Your response to treatment
● Your sun exposure and skincare habits
● Whether the underlying condition is ongoing
Conditions such as rosacea or chronic flushing may require maintenance treatments because the tendency toward redness can persist even after visible vessels improve.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
There is no universal treatment schedule.
Some concerns may improve with a single treatment, while others require a series of sessions. During your consultation, we will discuss the likely number of treatments based on your skin and goals.
Maintenance treatments may be recommended for patients with ongoing redness, rosacea, recurrent visible vessels or continued sun exposure.
A consistent skincare routine and daily broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen are important parts of maintaining your results.
IS DERMAV RIGHT FOR YOU?
DermaV may be worth considering if you:
● Are bothered by facial redness
● Have visible capillaries or small facial vessels
● Notice redness around the nose or cheeks
● Have rosacea-related vascular changes
● Want to improve selected sun spots or pigment concerns
● Have uneven skin tone
● Want a targeted laser treatment rather than a broad resurfacing procedure
● Prefer a treatment plan tailored to your specific skin concern
Not everyone is a candidate for laser treatment. Certain medications, medical conditions, recent tanning, active skin infections and a history of abnormal healing may affect your eligibility.
A consultation and medical assessment are important before treatment.
At Lips N Lines Plus Medical Esthetics, technology is only one part of achieving a beautiful result.
The most important part is knowing when, where and why to use it.
We believe exceptional aesthetic care begins with a thorough assessment and an individualized treatment plan. DermaV may be recommended on its own or incorporated alongside IPL, skincare, injectables or other treatments to address the different components of skin aging and skin health.
We do not believe in chasing trends or treating everyone the same way.
We believe in evidence-informed care, thoughtful treatment planning and natural, refined results.
