PRP & PRF

PRP VS. PRF AND EZ GEL: WHICH IS BETTER?

At Lips N Lines Plus we pride ourselves on following the latest science when it comes to your face and body treatments. The exciting world of regenerative medicine is making great inroads in accelerating the body’s ability to repair and rebuild damaged tissues, which includes cosmetic issues, such as aging skin and hair loss.

As a result of our research, we’re excited to add on PRF, which offers some unique advantages over PRP. Let’s take a look.

PRP is well known and researched in the field of pain management, sports injuries, sexual dysfunction in both men and women, etc.

THE POWER OF PLATELETS

Your blood contains four key ingredients: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. The platelets in your blood are responsible for clotting, preventing you from bleeding out — but their role hardly stops there. Once the bleeding is controlled, your platelets release growth factors and cytokines to initiate the healing cascade, which includes calling on white blood cells, stem cells and growth factors.

With PRP or PRF, we draw a sample of your own blood. Then, using a special centrifuge and an anticoagulant (for PRP only), platelets are separated out to create a biocompatible concentrate. Getting PRP/PRF is essentially like getting a booster dose of IM vitamins. You get a boost of benefits however with PRP it's only for a short period of time. Whereas the PRF, along with all the beneficial properties of stem cells, growth factors and cytokines, will remain in your tissues for several weeks after your injection which optimizes the effects of the treatment.

Certain areas of medicine, especially orthopedics, have been turning to PRP and PRF therapy to help accelerate healing of both hard and soft tissues. On the aesthetics side, we’ve found great success in using this practice to rejuvenate aging skin and to address hair loss.

AMPLIFYING THE REGENERATIVE POWER WITH PRF

While PRP has proven very successful, PRF is next generation PRP. Fibrin is what platelets bind to as they circulate through your blood. When platelets bind to fibrin they release growth factors which help to start the healing process by creating new collagen, blood vessels, and skin cells.

PRF is more effective because it gives patients the same benefits of PRP while also releasing more growth factors overtime so it will continue to work for several weeks after the procedure is done. This is possible because in the preparation of the final product, no anticoagulant is used which can strip the fibrin lowering the platelet binding capacity,

How much does this cost?

Treatments with PRP range from $800 & up. Discounts are available when 3 treatments are purchased up front.

USES OF PRF

At LNL, we use PRF to address a wide range of issues, including:

  • Under-eye bagginess
  • Deep lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Sagging skin
  • Surface concerns
  • Large pores
  • Hair loss

Since these treatments are autologous, meaning they come from your own blood, your body readily accepts the PRF. Your results are gradual as your skin regenerates itself on a cellular level.

PRF EZ GEL

Not only do we offer liquid PRF, but now we have PRF EZ GEL! This cutting edge treatment in the aesthetic industry, utilizes a combination of your albumin that we have heated then cooled to form a “gel” which contains your prf. These two are then blended together to form your own natural filler! We can use this all over the face where you have volume loss and need skin rejuvenation. EZ Gel is a great alternative for those who do not want regular HA fillers injected. It’’s 100% autologous, biostimulating, and volumizing. We have seen great results,  especially for those who suffer with depleted tear troughs.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THESE TREATMENTS?

For any one area of treatment for facial rejuvenation => $800

For a full facial rejuvenation => $1800
